It may only be March but the mercury is rising steadily this week, with temperatures to hit a balmy 14 degrees.
Thursday morning's hazy sunshine is expected to last into the afternoon and temperatures are expected to reach up to 14 degrees, with Munster and Leinster.
However there will be some light rain and drizzle moving across parts of Munster and west Connaught, which will gradually move northwards.
Just in time for the weekend similarly warm temperatures will be accompanied on Friday with short sunny breaks. The day will be largely dry, with some showers affecting coastal areas.
On Saturday Met Eireann are predicting a mostly dry day with some nice sunny spells, temperatures are expected to reach 13 degrees.
There may be some patchy rain and drizzle here towards evening, extending eastwards after dark. Some heavier bursts occurring during the night-time hours.
Sunday is set to be "bright and breezy" according to the national forecaster with sunny spells an dpassing blustery showers.
"The western half of the country will see most of the shower activity with a few heavy ones here through the day. Feeling a little fresher, highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees," the forecaster said.
