Boy airlifted to hospital following collision in Co Offaly

The collision involved a young boy and a car and it occurred in the Daingean area of the county earlier today.

The boy was rushed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital by air ambulance for emergency treatment.

“Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision which involved a vehicle and a pedestrian in Daingean, Co. Offaly earlier today, Friday 26th May 2023,” a garda spokesperson said.

“A male child was seriously injured during the collision and taken to Children’s Health Ireland hospital at Temple Street.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
