Boy (2) dies after tragic fall from Inchicore apartment

A two-year-old boy has died after sustaining injuries following a tragic fall from a fourth floor apartment block in Inchicore, Dublin.

He was pronounced dead at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin this afternoon.



Gardai are investigating the incident but believe it was a tragic accident.



It is understood the child’s mother was in the apartment at the time and that the toddler may have fallen 50ft or 60ft from a balcony attached to the apartment.

The incident happened at Tramyard Court just after 10am.



The scene has been preserved pending a forensic examination.

The family is from Brazil.
