Boots pharmacies reduce prescription medicine costs up by to 25pc
CONSUMERS can expect reductions in the region of 25pc in the cost of prescription drugs at Boots pharmacies, it was announced today.
The chain of 65 chemists countrywide said that from June 1 the top ten prescription medicines will reduce in price.
It’s good news for people with chronic conditions like asthma or cardiovascular disease who are not eligible for the medical card and they could save up to €300 per year.
The Irish Pharmacy Union said the move by Boots underlines the competitiveness in the sector.
