The Boomtown Rats have joined the line-up for INM's Rock Against Homelessness concert.

The iconic rockers will share the Olympia Theatre stage with HamsandwicH, Finbar Furey, The Blizzards, Delorentos, Paul Cleary, Ivy Nations and August Wells on Friday, April 7.

The concert will be hosted by comedian Al Porter and former 'Dancing with The Stars' contestant Katherine Lynch.

The concert is in aid of Focus Ireland to raise vital funds for Ireland's most in need, the homeless.

This year's gig follows on from last year's sold-out Rock Against Homelessness concert which featured Camille O'Sullivan, The Strypes and The Stunning.

Funds raised from the gig last year enabled Focus Ireland to help more than 300 families secure a home.

Niamh Farrell of HamsandwicH said she believed homelessness was at "a crisis point". "We all need to stand up and shout as loud as we can that we won't stand for it. Everyone deserves a safe, warm space to go to when the day is over and so many people don't have this."

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster nationwide, costing €30.
