Bomb unit removes suspicious object

Bomb experts were yesterday examining a suspicious object found outside Lisburn, Co Antrim, near where two men were arrested on Friday. Barnfield Road was closed while an army bomb disposal team removed the object.

In separate operations in Dunmurry and west Belfast, three men and a woman were arrested but released without charge on Friday evening after being questioned about dissident republican activity.

The arrests came a day after the PSNI warned residents and travellers to expect considerable delays and diversions near the North's largest airport when world leaders arrive for the G8 summit in June.
