Body found in search for missing student Paul Tynan (23)

A body has been found in the search for missing student Paul Tynan (23).

The remains of were discovered in Waterford city earlier today. 

The widely loved electrical engineering student, who was originally from Bray, was last seen leaving the River Walk student apartment complex on the city's inner ring road during the early hours of Saturday morning. 

The body was discovered by members of Waterford Marine Search and Rescue shortly after 11am this morning. 

Paul's sister Lauren Tynan has paid tribute to her brother on social media. 

"Never take what you have for granted especially when they're irreplaceable," wrote the NUIG student on her Facebook page.

"Funniest person and best brother in the world. Everyone (will) be lost without you. Rip bro. Only the best die young."

Another friend wrote: "Rest in Peace Paul, you always brought a smile to everyone's face. Such a lovely guy."
