Blooming brilliant gardens open to public for cystic fibrosis charity
EAMONN and Rita Butler will open their gardens today from 2-5pm in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Association, with the support of Bunclody Horticultural Society. The venue is 'Sliabh Radharc', Knockanure (close to Clohamon on the road to Ferns), Bunclody, Co Wexford.
These gardens have matured very well over the last decade. The borders and beds boast a wide selection of perennials, trees and shrubs, and while it is not a low-maintenance garden by any means -- and not a miracle of design either -- it blends in perfectly with the pleasant setting, with Mount Leinster and the Black Hills forming an impressive backdrop.
Tea and coffee will be available, and there will be raffles and plants for sale. There will also be someone on hand to offer advice, or even accept it. So, drop in if you are out for a drive in the beautiful hillside area that surrounds Bunclody.
