A COMMUTER train was involved in a collision with several horses which were loose on a railway track early yesterday.

Seven passengers onboard the 5.30am train from Rosslare to Dublin escaped injury but nine horses were killed at Edermine, just outside Enniscorthy town.

The service was disrupted for several hours.
