Big bang theory as science lessons go off like a rocket
WHAT better way to get children interested in science than to let them play with explosives?
Eric Stenzel, one of the founders of the Irish branch of the Tripoli Rocketry Association, was hoping to instill a love of science in schoolchildren as he got to grips with rockets of all sizes over the weekend.
A group of people watched as the association set off around 20 rockets on Saturday in Tuam, Co Galway. "I was doing school programmes to try get kids interested in science and I imported rockets through the Department of Justice," he said.
