IT came as music to the ears of sisters Caoilfhionn Ni Scolai (6) and Sorcha (5), when they learned that they will be leading an open traditional music session at this year's TradFest in Temple Bar.
Taking place in January, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29, the sisters will set the pace with some toe-tapping tunes in the cultural hub of the capital. There will also be a drop-in 'craft club' and an array of street entertainment on offer.
Christ Church Cathedral is set for a makeover of sorts and will be transformed into a mystical rural village, complete with real thatched cottages.
There will be an array of different craft workshops on offer -- from learning how to make brown bread and churning butter to building a cock of hay.
Farmers Frank O'Sullivan and Hugh Gauliding from Meath Beo -- a group dedicated to reviving the country life -- were pictured yesterday with their cow and donkey on the Ha'Penny Bridge to announce this year's TradFest.
