The Script dedicates song to Berkeley tragedy families at Croke Park gig
Irish rock band 'The Script' paid tribute to the victims of the Berkeley balcony tragedy last night during their gig in Croke Park.
Lead singer Danny O'Donoghue is a past pupil of St Mary's College in Rathmines, where two of the students who died (Eoghan Culligan and Niccolai Schuster) also went to school.
Vocalist and guitarist Mark Sheehan said: "Ireland lost six of its sons and daughters during the week in California to a terrible tragedy."
He dedicated "If you can see me now" to the students’ families, telling the crowd that the trio wrote the song about their own grievances.
