Autumnal sunshine and showers are on the weather horizon for the week ahead.

Met Éireann is predicting temperatures in the early to mid-teens over the coming days with showers and heavy spells of rain at times.

Yesterday, Isabelle (2) and Holly Brennan (5), from Lucan, enjoyed the autumnal weather in the Phoenix Park in Dublin. Met Éireann says today will see a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers, with the rain most frequent in the north and north-east. Temperatures will peak at 15C and strong north-east winds will gradually ease. Meanwhile, tomorrow will be mainly dry with the risk of showers in the north early in the day.
