UNEMPLOYED workers are to be enticed to Australia with the promise of construction jobs paying up to €80,000.
Osborne Recruitment is seeking 500 construction workers for a range of jobs in Western Australia.
The firm, which will open an office in Perth in January, said employers there were looking for a range of skills, including engineering, technical, electricians, quantity surveyors and project managers.
The recruitment firm joins other companies at the Working Abroad Expo at the RDS in Dublin this weekend where recruiters will also look for people in health and other sectors.
Osborne Recruitment chief executive Brendan Murphy said the firm had already found jobs for more than 150 Irish people in the booming Western Australia region.
Between 50,000 and 70,000 Irish people are estimated to be working in the area.
