Michael Collins' armoured Rolls Royce 'Sliabh na mBan' and a parachute jump are set to be some of the star attractions at the Defence Forces Open Day in Farmleigh House, in the Phoenix Park.

The open day runs tomorrow between 11am and 5pm and admission to the event is free.

People will be able to research their own family's military history with the help of a guide in the Military Archives.

There will also be unarmed combat, capability and weapon demonstrations from the Army, Air Corps and Naval Service which will attract large crowds.

The Defence Forces' award winning Virtual Reality experience is making its first appearance this year.

Army Brass and Pipe will keep crowds entertained with band recitals.
