Army bomb disposal team undertakes controlled explosion in Dublin
THE ARMY bomb disposal squad carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious device in the early hours today.
They were called to a house at Oblate Drive, Inchicore, Dublin, shortly after midnight and found an improvised explosive device that was viable
A number of houses were evacuated and a controlled explosion was carried out. The scene was declared safe shortly after 1am.
In Limerick, a device, believed to be a pipe bomb, was found at Sean Heuston place and the area was sealed off.
The army bomb disposal team is understood to have been requested by the gardai to examine the device.
