Armed raiders hold up security staff at Dublin ATM

ARMED raiders held up cash in transit staff servicing an ATM near Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin today.

The incident occurred at the junction of High Street and Bridge Street at 7.05am.

Security staff of a cash in transit van were servicing the ATM when two males held them up.

They are described as both being about 6ft tall and they wore high viz jackets and balaclavas,

A white transit van, believed to have been used the raid, was later found near the South Circular Road.

The raiders made off with a number of money boxes. No shots were fired and nobody was injured in the incident.
