Apple fans take bite of iPad Mini
IT'S thinner and lighter than its bigger brother and fans queued up to get their hands on the latest piece of technology to hit the stores.
The Apple iPad Mini has arrived to mixed reviews across the world but Irish enthusiasts queued up early to snap up the new gadget with the cheapest model selling for €339.
Up to 70 customers began queueing outside the Compu B store on Dublin's Grafton Street two hours before opening time yesterday.
"It's been selling very well all day and there has been major demand for it," said a spokesperson.
"We've had a lot of emails and phone calls as well wondering about launch day."
The new tablet weighs in at just 308g, half the weight of the bigger iPad and it is also 23pc thinner at just 7.2mm.
