Animation firm creating 30 jobs

AN award-winning Irish animation company, which worked on programmes such as 'Sesame Street', is creating 30 new jobs.

Kavaleer Animations yesterday said it was advertising the positions to keep up with the "international demand" for its work.

The company, which is based in Dublin's Digital Hub, said that the jobs would be added throughout 2012.

Along with 'Sesame Street', the company has also worked with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Disney.

"It's amazing to think that what started out in 1998 as a hobby has developed into something this big over the past decade," founder Andrew Kavanagh said.
