Amy's grieving dad to appear on 'Late Late'
THE heartbroken father of tragic singer Amy Winehouse will be a guest on 'The Late Late Show' tomorrow.
Mitch Winehouse will discuss the attempts he made to save his world-famous daughter from drug addiction.
The 60-year-old taxi driver has subsequently set up a foundation to help young addicts break their habit.
He is currently writing a book about Amy, who died in July. It will be published by Harper Collins next summer.
Joe Duffy will also be on the show to promote his autobiography, 'Just Joe'.
A station insider said that, although the 55-year-old was one of RTE's own, there had been strong interest in his memoir from the public.
Author Cecelia Ahern will be plugging her new book 'The Time Of My Life'.
Last Friday night's 'Late Late' attracted just 517,900 viewers, the lowest rating of the season so far. However, an RTE spokeswoman said the figures suffered because of the clash with the European Championship qualifier against Andorra.
