Almost 400 homes in Dublin are without power due to a fire at an ESB box.

Some 382 homes in the Ballyfermot area have no electricity due to an ongoing fire at an ESB box on the Blackditch Road.

Dublin Fire Brigade is on the scene and two pumps are in attendance at the fire.

The ESB has said it hopes to have power restored by 22.15 tonight.

The power cut out at 18.35 on Wednesday evening.

Live updates can be found on the ESB's Power Check site.

The Dublin Fire Brigade finished at the scene at around 8:35pm.

Customers were later told they would not have their power restored tonight, with tweets from ESB stating: "Following a fire at our #Ballyfermot substation, customers involved will not have their power restored tonight."
