All's fine and Gandy as model steps into town
SUPERMODEL David Gandy (32) was in Dublin to launch the Collezione menswear summer range for Marks & Spencer yesterday and his photoshoot was watched by a clutch of contented females.
In 10 years, the 6ft 3in Gandy has gone from winning a TV model contest to being known around the world as 'the white pants boy' after he frolicked in skimpy white jocks for Dolce & Gabbana's 'Light Blue' fragrance advert. The advert attracted 11 million internet hits in a day.
So how vain is Mr Gandy? The glacier-blue eyes crinkle good-humouredly at the question but the Essex boy didn't disclose how many mirrors there are in his antique--filled home in south-west London.
"I'm not a bad looking chap. I'm certainly not the best-looking chap out there," he says, muttering something about huge nose and big ears.
Once linked romantically with Dublin-born MTV presenter Laura Whitmore, his romance with The Saturdays' Mollie King ended in February. He is now dating fellow model Sarah Ann Macklin.
