ALL is 'hunky dory' between the makers of Hunky Dorys and the IRFU after the crisp manufacturer agreed to amend its ad campaign linking it with Ireland's official rugby body.

The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) last night announced that it has withdrawn its threat of legal action against Largo Foods Ltd, after the food distributor agreed to remove any reference to "sponsors of Irish rugby" from its racy billboard campaign.

The IRFU threatened to sue the company this week after it ran a series of billboard ads featuring photographs of scantily-clad models in rugby gear.

Accompanying the catchline was the tagline 'Proud sponsors of Irish rugby.' IRFU strongly objected to the implied sponsorship by Hunky Dorys.

But following a meeting with their lawyers yesterday, both sides came to an "amicable agreement" after Largo Foods agreed to remove any implied affiliation with the IRFU.

Officials from Largo Foods Ltd could not be reached for comment last night.
