Aer Lingus lays it on the line in roster row

Cabin crew member Karen Jones with her daughter Chloe (3) at Dublin Airport yesterday as her colleagues marched to Aer Lingus headquarters with a letter saying they were "ready, willing and able" to work.

Later, Aer Lingus promised no flight disruptions this weekend as it issued an ultimatum to cabin crew: work the new rosters or face the sack.

The message is being couriered in a letter from management to 140 staff as the airline continues to pay for leased aircraft -- including pilots and crew -- to ensure a full schedule.
