The father of a four-year-old girl with Down syndrome has asked people to remember her when they vote tomorrow.

Speaking at a Love Both event yesterday with his daughter Grace, Martin McBreen said: "Our little girl is not a choice, she is not 'incompatible with life', she is not 'abnormal', she is a little girl.

"I was told she would die after being born. She is now four years old, and she is a wonderful child.

"The only way we can stop tragedies from happening where children aren't even given a chance to draw their first breath is by voting No to the Government's plan to introduce abortion.

"My daughter is alive today because we stood up to the pressure to abort."
