A busy year for Dublin Fire Brigade

The fire brigade in the capital responded to more than 139,000 calls in 2016 new figures show.

The service, which provides both fire brigade and ambulance services, responded to 22,667 fire calls to their swtchboard.

Meanwhile, 116,634 calls were answered and processed via the Dublin Fire Brigade's (DFB)  emergency ambulance service

DFB said their first official call out of 2017 was to a fall in the Crumlin area.
