€800,000 worth of drugs were seized by gardai today in two separate raids.

Three men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested after €800,000 worth of cannabis was seized in New Inn, Co Tipperary this morning.

A cannabis grow house was discovered at one premises and at a second premises a drying house was discovered.

Separately, cannabis with an estimated street value of €100,000 has been seized by gardai in north Dublin.

A 19-year-old man is being questioned over the seizure from a house in the Santry area this morning.

Gardai said the search was part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in the north Dublin area.

The man arrested at the scene is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Swords Garda Station.

He can be detained for up to 24 hours.

"These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks," said a Garda spokesman.

"Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.

"Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality."
