€470,000 worth of drugs seized in Tipperary

GARDAI have arrested two men after over €470,000 worth of drugs were seized in Co Tipperary yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon Gardaí from Tipperary and Limerick Drug Units searched a house at Ballywire in Kilross.  

During the course of the search they discovered 20kg of cannabis herb and 1kg of cocaine, with a street value in excess of €470,000.

 

Two men in their 30s were arrested at the scene and taken to Tipperary Garda Station where they are detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act. 

They can be detained for up to seven days.
