€3.8m Lotto winner lives in D4
A RESIDENT of one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in the country is likely to have moved even further up in the world after winning €3.8m.
The man, who lives in the Sandymount area of Dublin 4, won the jackpot in Saturday night's National Lottery draw with a €4 Quickpick ticket he bought in his local shop just hours before. He later celebrated his win with friends in a bar near his home.
"He drinks here all the time," said a barman at Slattery's near Lansdowne Road. "I know who it is but I am not telling you. It's his own private business," the barman added.
Neeraj Mathura, the manager of the Eurospar shop on Bath Avenue that sold the ticket said: "There is a lot of excitement among the staff and among the locals as well,"
However Mr Mathura said he had no idea who the winner was. It's the first time the shop has sold a jackpot-winning ticket in the five years that he has been manager.
