'1916 belongs to the people, not a party'
Micheál Martin used Fianna Fail's National Commemoration of the 1916 Rising in Arbour Hill to say that 1916 "belongs to the Irish people" and to "no party or movement".
"This is why, after more than a century, hundreds of thousands of people still come on to our streets to celebrate 1916.
"This is why the overwhelming majority believe that 1916 belongs to no party or movement - it belongs to the Irish people. Its strength is the idea of unity in diversity," said the FF leader.
