SHANE Filan has said he’s feeling nervous ahead of his first live solo TV performance on tonight’s ‘Rose of Tralee’.

“It’s the biggest TV show in Ireland, and I was chuffed to be asked” He said.

“Everybody grows up watching it and it’s a very iconic thing in Ireland every year.”

Filan performed with Westlife during the festival over a decade ago, however this will be his first solo performance.

“It’s going to be very different, but I’m looking forward to it, I’m excited and nervous and anxious”.

The singer has also said that his new album will be a positive one.

cv“It’s very personal and it’s very positive. I could have wrote a lot of other songs which were negative, but I thought if I’m going to do this it has to be positive”.

Shane Filan will perform on tonight’s second part of the Rose of Tralee is on RTE One from 8pm, with the winner being crowned at around 11.15pm.
