Model mum blooms on Paris catwalk
IRISH designer Sharon Wauchob proved to Paris Fashion Week that motherhood and couture mix like a dream.
The Fermanagh-born designer delivered a hugely feminine spring/summer 2013 collection with flattering dresses and trousers in sheer, patterned organzas.
A month ago, she rolled out her collection for the ethical clothing line Edun. Sharon was appointed creative director of Edun by Ali Hewson in 2010.
And into the mix factor a new baby daughter for the Irishwoman who grew up on a livestock farm before going to study at Central St Martins and work at Louis Vuitton.
The collection, showcased in Paris, featured an appealing combination of translucent pieces plus solid-colour dresses and coats in black and white.
A signature floral motif featured across various fabrics: a standout detail whether on pale purple organza or down the centre of a short black-and-white dress.
