Watch: KT Tunstall forgets her lines to 'Black Horse and Cherry Tree' on stage

Sometimes we forget that popstars are only human after all.

KT Tunstall reminded us of this fact as she experienced stage fright which lead her to forget the words to her biggest hit The Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.

The 40-year-old Scottish singer was on the verge of belting out the much-loved tune when her mind just went blank.

However, as the saying goes, when life gives you lemons make lemonade.

This is exactly what KT did by asking the crowd at the Troubadour in West Hollywood 'What's this song about?"

She then explained that there are lots of other things that her brain is busy concentrating on and proceeded to launch into a rant about octopuses. Ever the professional she then delivered a flawless rendition of the song.

Apparently she’s forgotten the words to Black Horse and The Cherry Tree during gigs before, which explains why she was so unfazed during the set.

KT has released five albums over the years, but her first, Eye to the Telescope, is her most successful.
