Ireland's recent young Britain's Got Talent stars could teach each other a thing or two, says free-running contestant Matt McCreary from Co Down.
Last weekend nine-year-old Jesse Jane McParland from Keady in Co Armagh wowed the show's judges with her magnificent martial arts and just a week before, Matt McCready from Banbridge achieved the same feat with his impressive parkour style of running.
Now the tension is building as the two local talents could be in for a battle to be the winner of the UK's biggest talent show but in a very diplomatic move, 20-year-old Matt said he supports any home-grown talent and wants Jesse Jane to do well.
When asked what he thought of his pint-sized competition, he said: "I thought she was awesome. I support anyone from Northern Ireland wanting to show their talent. There needs to be more of it coming out of here.
"Maybe she can teach me how to wield a sword if I teach her how to get down from a balcony properly but, yeah, she's going to kick BGT's ass."
With the show only two weeks in, there's plenty more talent to be judged. Our local stars could still see themselves sharing the show's semi-finals with others from the region but when asked about whether he's been chosen to appear in the live shows, Matt was tight lipped: "I can't say.
"You'll just have to wait and see."
