X Factor band GMD3 to change name after Sharon Osbourne calls them ‘a virus’
X FACTOR boy band GMD3 are seeking their fans’ help in picking a new name for the group – after Sharon Osbourne said their name sounded like a virus while she was a guest judge at Louis Walsh’s judges’ houses.
The boy band, who made it through to the live shows as part of the groups, have now decided to change their name after hearing Osbourne’s comments.
They have asked their fans to Email the show with their suggestions for what their new name could be, with the best being chosen as the new name before Saturday’s first live show.
GMD3 have already amassed almost 80,000 followers on Twitter, and they are motivating new fans to become Twitter followers by posting pictures called ‘Bath time with GMD3’.
They recently tweeted thanks to their new fans: “FunTimes :) but seriously we really do appreciate all the awesome stuff u do 4 us every single day & thank u all 4 your amazing support x”
The band will compete in the first live show with their new name on Saturday night – there is expected to be a battle of the boy bands as GMD3 will go up against Union J.
