Singer Una Foden has vowed to keep diving despite failing to make a splash in her latest TV venture.

The Saturdays star failed to get through her heat on ITV diving show Splash!

But the mum of one still looked incredibly fit and fashionable.

Una ensured all eyes were on her when she stepped on to the diving board in a cut-out cream and gold swimsuit complete with a Celtic knot design.

The Tipperary native also painted her nails green, but kept her look more low-key than previous Irish contestant Keith Duffy who turned out in a pair of shamrock Speedos.

Una, who braved a broken toe and bruising to take part, finished joint-second in her heat, but ultimately missed out to rugby player Austin Healey.

The 32-year-old impressed with her forward tuck from the five metre board, but the judges opted to send Healey through instead.

"I'd love to keep going with diving in the future, said the red-haired singer songwriter.

"I'd love to learn more and try different dives from different boards. It's a great sport -- its definitely something I think young kids should try to get involved in."

CHAMPION

Una said the show brought her back to her childhood when she was an All-Ireland swimming champion at the age of nine.

Despite not getting through, Una attracted praise for her elegant style on the Splash! board.

"You certainly added some glamour. It was extremely graceful and brave and you looked like a charming little sylph going into the water," said judge Jo Brand.

Una had plenty of support from her husband Ben Foden and her family who were in the audience.

Her Saturdays bandmates were also there to cheer her on, with Frankie Sandford praising her for her bravery.
