Hidden Kingdoms

This new three-part nature series follows the fortunes of three smaller creatures who fight the odds to survive, beginning with the tiny grasshopper mouse, which takes on the Sonoran Desert's deadliest scorpions and dodges the hovering Harris Hawks.

Supersize v Superskinny

Channel 4, 8.00pm

Joanne Allen's serial dieting hasn't helped, and she now weighs almost 20 stone. She travels to Las Vegas to meet a 37 stone woman and finds out how the area has become a blackspot for bariatric surgery. With Christian Jessen (right).

Silent Witness

When Jack and Nikki (Emilia Fox, right) head north to Scotland to investigate the brutal murder of a lap dancer found dumped in a forest, they clash with two local detectives. But when they discover more remains it becomes apparent that a serial killer's at large.
