Celebrity chef Catherine Fulvio is continuing to cook up a storm in the UK and has landed more work on a BBC show.

The Wicklow-based chef impressed British TV bosses when she appeared on popular weekend show Saturday Kitchen on BBC1, which enjoys more than 3m viewers per episode.

Now she is looking forward to a regular slot on the cooking programme and is in talks about filming future shows.

Catherine, who will travel to Italy next month to research her new cookbook due out in autumn, is also planning to go to the US to work on NBC's food channel.

"Catherine will be travelling to both the UK and the US this year, but dates have yet to be confirmed," her agent told the Herald.

"She is looking forward to working more on BBC's Saturday Kitchen."

It will be a hectic year for the chef who is also lining up special celebrations in the summer for the 10th anniversary of her Wicklow cookery school at Ballyknocken.

The brunette chef told the Herald that she is hoping that the ratings-strong shows in the UK and US help to boost her profile abroad as well as promoting her business at home.

"My strategy for 2014 is to keeping working in the UK and get more work there and to continue what I'm doing in America and grow Ballyknocken," she added.
