Tate 'made first movie with Orange'

Catherine Tate made the first move when she began dating Take That's Jason Orange, comic John Bishop has revealed.

Bishop was starring alongside the comedienne when they filmed a spoof of the manband for Comic Relief.

And he tells BBC1's Graham Norton Show that it was Tate who asked for the singer's number.

The singer and the comic actress - who also starred as The Doctor's sidekick Donna Noble in Doctor Who - are reported to be dating.

She played Orange for the "Fake That" send-up earlier this year, which also featured the real members of the chart-topping act.

Bishop - who played the group's Howard Donald - said: "I was there when Catherine Tate - who was playing Jason Orange and looked like Jason Orange - was talking to Jason Orange and said to him 'maybe we should have a coffee, can I get your number?'.

"And he said 'Yeah.' Now they are supposedly seeing each other."

Bishop added: "It must be odd fancying someone that looks like you, but I think, good luck to them. They are both lovely people."

The interview is to be screened tonight at 10.35pm on BBC1.
