Simon Cowell: ‘I think Cheryl and Nicole would have clashed on X Factor, and I want Louis back’
MUSIC Supremo Simon Cowell has revealed that Nicole Scherzinger won’t be returning to the X Factor panel – as he fears she would clash with Cheryl Cole.
Both Cowell and Cole will return to the show for the first time in three years.
However despite her popularity with viewers, Cowell will not be re-hiring former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger – fearing her and Cheryl would clash.
“'I didn’t think the two of them would work well together”, he told The Sun.
He revealed that his choice to take her seat is Spice Girl Mel B.
“I like Mel B. We’ve got about a month to decide and we’re meeting a lot of people. A lot of it actually depends on how much work they are willing to put in during the week.”
However despite Cheryl not wanting the return of Mayo man Louis Walsh – Cowell has claimed he can’t imagine doing the show without him.
“I’d find it difficult to do the show without Louis.
“I tried it without him once and it didn't work. He does make a long day fun.
However he has previously revealed some producers at ITV are anxious to shake it up, and want to replace Walsh – but Cowell is adamant Walsh will be back.
“I hope I don't have to talk ITV round. After ten years, he deserves a spot”, he said.
