Sharp dressed men: Jedward look like they are set for a day at the office in pin striped suits

Jedward gave their fans a first look yesterday at the costumes and hairstyles they hope will propel them to Eurovision glory in Azerbaijan. The twins wore silver costumes resembling knights in armour and ended their act being drenched by water fountains

THEY looked more like a pair of budding stockbrokers than Eurovision entrants, when Jedward turned up to meet the media this morning in dapper suits and combed hair.

The Grimes twins wore the matching blue pin striped suits and red ties, flown over to Azerbaijan by Louis Copeland, when they emerged to meet the European press.

John had earlier tweeted: “We want to thank Louis Copeland for the awesome coool suits he sent us from Dublin to edzerbaijohn you.”

Their blue glitter shoes were the only nod to the occasion, and a hint of the bling we can expect tonight.

The duo who perform last in tonight’s semi finals have decided to ditch their high hair style again, as they take a soaking in the final minute of their high energy performance of Waterline.

A dress rehearsal in Baku in front of the media last night revealed the new look for the twins, who will match their flat hair with gold robot like costumes.

The outfits cost over €3,500 each were specially made to be water resistant as the pair end up drenched in water at the end of their song.

“They cost a lot of money because it’s a special waterproof fabric and covered in a lot of bling and we had to get exact doubles for the dress rehearsals” a Jedward stylist revealed.

The duo are hoping to make a splash as they perform last in the semi-finals and compete again Russian favourite the Buaranovskiye grannies, who are tipped to be the first to go through to Saturday night’s semi final.

The twins have been involved in trans Atlantic discussions with their hair stylist Louise Teasdale, who is in New York with One Direction, over what style to wear their hair in. The Grimes boys have decided against advice and will wear their hair flat this evening, ditching their usual spiky style.

“The lads have made the decision o wear their hair down as they call the shots when it comes to styling,” their tour manager Liam McKenna tells The Daily Star.
