THE potential chaos of 'Failte Towers' will descend on RTE this summer as the station swaps 'Charity You're A Star' for a new reality television show.

RTE chiefs will be hoping the new show, like the famed John Cleese series, will also raise a few chuckles as 12 well-known public figures and celebrities abandon their home comforts to take over the running of a hotel in July for two weeks. The fund-raising show following on from the success of the 'Celebrities Go Wild' series, will replace the reality programme 'You're A Star', and its charity sister programme.

Revealing the station's summer line-up of programmes, RTE managing director Noel Curran, said "special attention" had been given to the summer period over the last few years.

Celebrity chefs, Kevin Thornton and Kevin Dundon, will be steaming up the kitchens in 'Heat', as their proteges compete against each other every week.

As well as the new lifestyle series, Saturday nights will once again become the domain of presenter Miriam O'Callaghan as her summer chat show 'Saturday Night with Miriam' returns.

Also, a new drama series, 'Little White Lie', will show actor Andrew Scott struggle to cope as a down-on-his-luck actor who has been dumped by his high-flying girlfriend.
