NORAH Casey has decided to step down from hosting Newstalk’s breakfast show from next week.

The former ‘Dragon’s Den’ star made the decision in order to spend more time with her young son.

Ms Casey will remain with the station and will begin to present a weekend show in September.

The CEO of Harmonia publishing joined the Newstalk Breakfast team in September of last year.

Ms Casey and her son Dara marked the first anniversary of her husband Richard Hannaford's passing on October 12th last year.

Speaking to the Irish Independent at the time, Ms Casey said that she had been "reassessing" her life since her husband's death and admitted she used work as a crutch to cope with her grief.

"Being busy is still my way to cope. It was a way to get through it." she said at the time.
