New 'through the keyhole' a total lemon

John Boland

You didn't have to be a fan of David Frost, who died two weeks ago, to acknowledge his silky interviewing skills, even when he was hosting such transparent floss as the long-running Through the Keyhole, which respectfully peeked into the private homes of celebs and asked a studio panel to guess who owned them.

In ITV's new version of Through the Keyhole, the respect has vanished and in Frost's place is frantic comedian Keith Lemon, who's about as funny as a cold sore.

Lemon's idea of a joke is to demand applause for panellist Denise van Outen and then declare: "Denise, say it – you want the clap."

Oh, and I never heard of two of the supposed celebs whose homes were being invaded.
