Modern Family cast all set to return for fourth season
THE entire cast of hit comedy ‘Modern Family’ will return for the new season, star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has said.
The stars of the Fox show, which regularly receives over 12m viewers in the US, are all said to be requesting a salary bump to return to the show.
Ferguson, who plays gay dad Mitch, told Access Hollywood “We’re just letting other really wonderful people take care of that stuff and we just love our jobs.” However he confirmed “We’ll all be back. It’s going to be very smooth.”
The comedy swept the boards at the 2011 Emmys, claiming five awards including the ‘outstanding comedy series’ prize.
Fergusson spoke about the series finale, which will air in the US in the coming weeks saying “We have a fantastic finale…I remember reading the script and just being very, very moved. Tears. That’s what you called table room tears.” He joked “It doesn’t turn into Grey’s Anatomy.”
The show is the highest rated comedy in the US in the key 18-49 demographic.
