'Love/Hate' star wants to show her grittier side
SHE was in some of the most harrowing scenes in 'Love/Hate' – but actress Charlie Murphy is hoping her character will enjoy more gritty scenes in the forthcoming instalment.
In season three viewers saw the IFTA award winner's character Siobhan, raped by IRA boss Git.
The Wexford-born starlet, who admitted to being drawn to roles involving "troubled souls", told the Irish Independent she would like writer Stuart Carolan to give her a weapon in the next series.
"We have talked about it many times, we want to go out guns blazing if we are. I've really fantasised about a big shootout or something," Murphy said.
"Can Siobhan get grittier? I don't know. But there are always twists and turns with Stuart's writing.
"I'm sure we would get a warning if we were to be killed off."
Murphy, a past pupil of the Gaiety School of Acting, was speaking at the launch of its new website in Dublin yesterday.
