LOUIS Walsh is set to return for an 11th series of the X Factor - despite saying the 10th would be his last.

The boyband supremo has been convinced by friend Simon Cowell to sign on the dotted line for another series, according to reports.

It is believed the Mayo man's pay packet will be in the region of €1m for the series.

Cowell was believed the be anxious to have Walsh return - he trusts the former Westlife manager to be his eyes and ears on the show.

Bosses at ITV are also worried that it may alienate viewers to have the panel completely change between series.

Gary Barlow and Sharon Osbourne have both confirmed that will not return - while Nicole Scherzinger is still yet to commit to another series.

It is believed bosses at ITV are trying to find a way to enable Cowell to return - as they believe he will bring the show's ailing ratings back to health.
