Lewis Collins, who starred as Bodie in TV show The Professionals alongside Martin Shaw, has died aged 67.
Lewis Collins, who starred as Bodie in the cult Seventies show The Professionals, has died aged 67.
Collins, who starred alongside Martin Shaw, died in Los Angeles after a five-year struggle with cancer.
His agent told the BBC: "He died peacefully at his LA home surrounded by his family. Privacy is asked for at this very sad time."
The Professionals were a fictional crime fighting unit called CI5 and the programme ran between 1977 and 1983, for 57 episodes. It also starred Gordon Jackson, who appeared in Upstairs, Downstairs.
The London Weekend Television show was was created by Brian Clemens, who had been one of the driving forces behind The Avengers.
Collins, born in Birkenhead in May 1946, also played SAS captain Peter Skellen in 1982's Who Dares Wins. His last film role was as Sgt George Godley in a 1988 version of Jack the Ripper.
