FORMER Westlife member Kian Egan will continue his new UK TV career when he joins ITV’s ‘This Morning’, presenting ‘The hub’ segment of the popular morning show.

‘The hub’ is an interactive segment of the show when viewers get a chance to voice their opinions on topics discussed during the morning.

The Voice of Ireland judge told The Sun “I've always enjoyed This Morning, so I was delighted when I got the call to be part of the team”.

He continued: “The Hub is such a great way to interact with viewers discussing different topics - some serious and some light-hearted. I've also heard that it is a lovely team there, so I'm really looking forward to sharing the screen with Eamonn and Ruth”.

The executive producer of ‘This morning’, Karl Newton, said “Our viewers will be in for a TV treat when he takes over 'The Hub'. He is sure to brighten up our overcast summer.”

It is the second major on screen role for the Sligo man after standing in for Olly Murs during filming of ITV2 show ‘Xtra Factor’.

Viewers will see Kian host the segment for the rest of the summer.
