Just Perfect: Model Clancy gets it all right on Strictly
MODEL Abbey Clancy and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec were given the first perfect score of the series on Strictly Come Dancing last night.
The judges heaped praise on the couple as they marked their stunning salsa 40 out of 40.
Bruno Tonioli said Clancy was "the disco diva" while Craig Revel Horwood described their routine as "absolutely amazing".
Darcey Bussell told her: "Finally you are oozing confidence in the Latin. A five-star performance."
Clancy wore a frilly red dress for a flawless performance to You Should Be Dancing from Saturday Night Fever.
Clancy was visibly delighted when the scores were read out, and exclaimed: "I can't believe it!".
Former Casualty star Patrick Robinson began his routine at the wheel of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The Casualty actor was in the famous magical airborne car - created by author Ian Fleming - to celebrate musicals week on the BBC1 contest.
He begin his Charleston with partner Anya Garnis by taking a brief flight and they scored 38 to finish second on the scoreboard.
Head judge Len Goodman commented: "That was full of flash, bang wallop. It was fantastic."
Tonioli said he thought the car was being "driven by Lewis Hamilton going for the Grand Prix", while Revel Horwood added: "It was extremely fast, I don't know how you kept up."
Meanwhile actor Mark Benton and partner Iveta Lukosiute could be facing their fourth dance-off in a row after scoring the lowest points total of the night with 29.
The pair danced the samba to I Just Can't Wait To Be King from The Lion King and Benton was clearly emotional following the performance, saying he felt "amazing" despite the rankings as it was their joint highest score of the series.
BBC Breakfast presenter Susanna Reid and her partner Kevin Clifton were unexpectedly just one spot above last place after the judges scored their quickstep to Good Morning from Singin' In The Rain just 33.
Revel Horwood commented: "I thought the foot work was rather sloppy, I've got to be honest, and it looked completely out of sync."
Bussell said their routine included "a couple of mistakes" but she added: "The energy all the way through was wonderful".
One celebrity will be eliminated following a dance-off in tonight's show.
